The Phonics Storybooks collection provides teachers with high-quality decodable readers that have been carefully crafted to follow a scope and sequence and that give readers abundant opportunities to transfer newly acquired phonics skills to an authentic reading context. The Orbiting books are for readers who have gone through the entire phonics continuum and need a bit more practice at specific skills. Whether working on long vowel teams, digraphs and blends, or vowel-r combinations, readers can use these books to orbit back to a specific phonic element in order to gain mastery over it.
