Determining Levels for a Student’s Bookshelf
To provide books for your students to read independently, you'll want to set up each student's Bookshelf specifically for that student. The Bookshelf is perfect for students to be able to select books to read independently at levels appropriate to their current reading progress. We recommend choosing books one or two levels below the student’s instructional reading level. For example, if the student has been assessed as instructional Level C, you most likely want to give them access to Level A and B books for independent reading. As students make progress and move up in reading levels for instruction, you will need to update the student’s Bookshelf.
