How Does Google SSO Work for Students Logging In?
If your team is using Google Single Sign-On (SSO), the login process is simple for students and teachers. Your team (school or district) will have a unique landing page (URL). Teachers and students using that landing page will be able to sign in using their Google SSO emails.
Many schools and districts opt to create a tile for this unique landing page to add to their devices or even another platform (e.g., Clever page or Google Classroom). This tile can bring students directly to the login page, and they will only need to enter their SSO email from that link. If they're already signed in (as they most likely would be if using a Chromebook, for example), then that landing page will bring them directly to their Digital Reader dashboard.
*Please note: We also offer integration with Clever and ClassLink for SSO and/or Rostering, and we are happy to discuss those options with your team. Reach out to support@digitalreader.com to get that conversation started.
