How Do I Track My Students' Reading?

If you are looking to track your students' reading on the Digital Reader, there is a weekly snapshot located on your teacher dashboard under "This week at a glance." This gives an overview of your students' progress for the current week.

A breakdown of each category is below:

  • Book Sessions: This indicates the number of times your students have opened a book on the Digital Reader within the current week. (This includes both books that have and have not been marked as read using the check mark at the end of the book.)
  • Books Read: This indicates the number of books that have been marked as read using the check mark at the end of the book during the current week.
  • Assignments Complete: This indicates the number of assignments that have been completed on the Digital Reader during the current week. Please note, an assignment must be marked complete by you, the teacher, before it will show up as being complete.
  • Total Reading Time: This indicates the total amount of time your students have spent reading on the Digital Reader during the current week.

If you'd like more in depth information about any one of the categories or to view a different time frame, simply click on the tab for an expanded view of each category. You can then use the filters on the left rail to view by specific students, time frames, and book titles. You can also click on the column headers and use the arrow to sort the information by column.
