The Book Closet collection is comprised completely of titles that are not included in any of the grade-level sets. The Book Closet is intended to expand the books available to the teacher and their students for independent reading, shared reading, or guided reading.
We have provided blank lesson plans for you to use to plan both guided reading and shared reading lessons. We've also given you some resources for teaching in the Downloadable Resources menu.
To find the blank lesson plans:
1. From your dashboard, click on Bookshelf.
2. Click on Book Closet.
4. Click into the book you want to teach, and then click on the Lesson Plan icon on the left rail to find the blank lesson plan.
Please note that these blank lesson plans have been organized by level:
- Book Closet Blank Lesson Plans for Emergent Readers (Levels A–C)
- Book Closet Blank Lesson Plans for Early Readers (Levels D–E)
- Book Closet Blank Lesson Plans for Early Readers (Levels F–I)
- Book Closet Blank Lesson Plans for Transitional Readers (Levels J–P)
- Book Closet Blank Lesson Plans for Fluent Readers (Levels Q–Z)
To find the Downloadable Resources for Teaching:
1. Click into the book you want to teach, and then click on the Downloadable Resources icon on the left rail. This will bring up the Downloadable Resources menu.
