How Do Students’ Books Move into Their Book Bags?

There are two ways to add books into a student’s Book Bag:

  • As an Assigned Book: An assigned book that the student marks as read upon completion will automatically move into their Book Bag. Once a previously assigned book in the student’s Book Bag has been read two more times and marked as read, it will move to the student’s Bookshelf.
  • Via Teacher Placement: A teacher can move a book directly into a student’s Book Bag from the Bookshelf. To do this, go to your student’s Bookshelf* and hover over Book Menu above the book you wish to move. Select the option Add to Book Bag. In this scenario, the book has to be read three times total before it is automatically moved to the student’s Bookshelf.

*Please Note: If you want to place books that are not on the student's Bookshelf into a Book Bag, follow these same steps, but once you have clicked into the student's Bookshelf, uncheck Bookshelf on the left rail under My Collections. That will remove that filter and give you several more books to choose from.
